It is exactly like what we use in Sunday School with 2 exceptions - 1. it is location based, not page number based. If it was page number based I could use it in class. When someone refers to something that is written, they say 'on page X' not 'at location XXXX'. 2. There is no way to take notes or highlight passages.I like that since it is on my Kindle, I can read it anywhere I go because it is always in my purse.
I wish the dates in the contents page would display like they should. Also, I would like page numbers. On my kindle Paperwhite I have to keep swiping forward to get to the next lesson. I am sure soon this all will be fixed. I appreciate that the booklet is available in Kindle format so I won't complain too much.
Love, love the fact that I can download my Sunday School book and take it with me anywhere I go. Anytime I have a few minutes throughout the day, I can read over the lesson, highlight, bookmark, make notes, etc to prepare for my class. In addition I also have various Bible translations and a dictionary downloaded. I also plan to download my favorite commentary and Bible dictionary, then everything I need to study is on my Kindle.
I've been purchasing these books in paperback for years, but once I found out they were now available as an ebook I gave it a try. I was not disappointed!
Classic resource updated to accommodate modern technology. Easily links back to TOC from the hyperlink features. Great price for this timeless yet dated curriculum material. Perfect for ministry leaders.
Perfect size -- both in terms of typeface and overal size of the book. Clear, easty-to-read font with sufficient margins to allow for notes. Paper isn't the thickest possible, but light application of highlighter doesn't bleed through. I am enjoying what this version has to offer; easier than lugging around the annual edition for the full year -- and I absolutely appreciate the fact that I can get it in ebook form as well (for my Kindle).
When I need to study this is what I need, and to be able to study anytime anywhere this is great. If you have a very busy schedule and have a tablet or cell phone. This is the way to study and grow. Don't let anything stop or block your spiritual growth.
I was introduced to the Bible Expositor and Illuminator at an early age by my Mother who was our local Sunday School Supertendent and our State Jurisdictional Sunday School Field Representative. Our local church body still uses it currently. I love it.
