This is the first Kindle edition of a Ikebana book that I have had and I was afraid I would not like a flower arranging book in that format. However, this is a good book and I am finding it very helpful. The diagrams and photos are very useful and it is actually easy to use.
This book gives you the basic principals and techniques of Ikebana clearly explained and well illustrated. If you are looking for a place to start trying your hand at this art, you have come to the right place! Even if you have been practicing this art for a while, this review of basic principals and techniques might be well worth reviewing.
This is a great guide for the beginning ikebana learner as well as a great review for a person who wants to renew faded knowledge. It provides step by step drawings and instructions which are easy to follow.
I received an Ikebana container for Christmas and decided I needed to do some research. I could down load this book on my Kindle and read it immediately. Ms. Hawkins gave me enough, but not too much. information in an easy to understand format for me to appreciate the art of Japanese flower arranging and get inspired to start practicing.
