Having read the other collector's encyclopedia's written by this author, this one is also a beautiful collection of the Barbie doll's one may want to know about and/or collect. The pictures are well done and the descriptions very clear and understandable. At a book store, before even my first purchase of these books, I skimmed other books stating they had what I was looking for, but none compared to Michael J. Augustyniak's. Through his books, I have been able to purchase Barbies at what I know is a fair and good price for my own collection. Very good resource book. Highly recommended.
The Collector's Encyclopedia Of Barbie Doll Exclusives is a great reference to the value of different types of Barbies. I was a little dissapointed that the Holiday Barbies and Bob Mackie Barbies are not listed in the book but I was pleased, otherwise. I would recommend this book.
J. Michael Augustyniak is my favorite Barbie author. I'm trying to get all of his volumes. This one does not disappoint with beautiful pictures of each doll and fashion in the Exclusive lines. You'll want to use this reference again and again.
What an excellent resource. We had three generations reading every page about their favorite Barbies and we all learned so much.
I'm glad I got this book. Although this only shows the dolls sold exclusively to stores, I don't need to see every Barbie ever produced because too often Mattel is just selling the same old dolls in different outfits. Boys get so much more attention to detail in their action figures and playsets.
This is the third of the Collector's Encyclopedias I own, each one is invaluable to me when recording information for my doll collection, although the dolls are under valued in this book, a great reference for the Barbie Collector.
It was helpful but since there are thousands of Barbies in different costumes and with different character namesI would have preferred a different format.
Item for a Barbie fan, came in excellent shape, and price was just right.it will be looked at and enjoyed many times over.
