The Holy Father's words were brief and not as involved as when he gives his weekly audiences, but that made his thoughts much simpler to meditate on. Each day also included a Bible reading to look up, which generally was from the Gospel for that day's Mass. I liked that especially since I watch Mass every day on EWTN and always look up the daily Mass readings on the Bishop's website so I can follow along like I do when I am in church.I try to order new Kindle Lenten booklets each year that are specific to that year since I keep three other Lenten booklets on my Kindle that can be used every year and they supplement the new ones. This is especially wonderful during my Adoration hours where it is quiet and peaceful.I had no problem finding the Bible passages for each day since I have several Bibles on my Kindle too and kept one on the carousel right next to this booklet so I could go directly to the specified book in the Bible, the chapter and the verse very easily.I look forward to buying next year's Lenten meditations from the Holy Father since I really love Lent even more than Christmas.

The choice of quotes from Pope Francis is helpful, but I found the author's daily prayers/meditations not very helpful. They did not seem imbued with the sense of hopeful mercy found in the words of Pope Francis.
The meditations are fine but one has to have a Bible open at the same time to flip back and forth.

I wish I had found this little book of prayers, meditations and reading recommendations earlier in Lent. All were meaningful and thought provoking. Meditations generally focussed on brief words from Pope Francis and included scripture reading recommendations. I'll be happy to purchase other such books by Father Warren Savage.
So frequently the words of the prayers seemed to identify and articulate exactly what is the condition of my heart; and the prayer I needed to pray because of that condition. Well worth the small price of buying the ebook.
Pope Francis named 2016 the year of Mercy -- and this lenten devotional includes a many of this thoughts and homilies, quotes and writings on Lent and the kindness we can give to one another.Highly recommend this book.
