The images will be worthy of framing once you add your own unique style and colors.Each special feline has been set in a natural setting and full body pose, you will find inside backgrounds with quilts, furniture, tables and chairs and outside backgrounds filled with flowers, leaves, grass, trees, apples and pumpkins, some backgrounds are very simply outlined others drawn with more detail, and each illustration is outlined with a bold black line.The cover picture is included in this book and is representative of some of the illustrations that have simply detailed backgrounds, most of the images have backgrounds with more detail.1. 23 illustrations printed one per page (the back of each page is blank) on medium weight, bright white paper.2. All markers bleed through the pages, I just place a piece of paper under the page I am coloring to prevent damage to the next page.3. Each full page illustration is centered and bordered, leaving 3/8ths of an inch between the illustration and the binding. Perfect for easily removing a single page or cutting off the entire binding for a coloring group.4. These illustrations do not have a lot of tiny details and lend themselves well to crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
This coloring book offers a great variety of cat images to choose from - cats being cute, silly, playful, sleepy, and just a tad mischievous! The lines that form each picture provide a good amount of detail to work with, not just each object being one solid mass. I have had a slight bit of difficulty at times being able to figure out what some of the lines/shapes are meant to be a part of in the image.The pictures are printed on one side of the pages only so I don't have to worry if I press down too hard with my colored pencils or if my marker bleeds through the page. I do wish the pages themselves were perforated though! After coloring in such a beautiful cat image I would love to neatly rip it out to hang on the wall or fridge! I know I can attempt to tear from the spine or to cut it out then even it up with a paper cutter, but I think I would love this book even more if I could skip that extra step.I chose this book out of all the other offerings on because of its great price, its subject content, and the preview images. For less than six dollars, this is a terrific buy! Being a major cat lover, I knew I needed to add a cat-themed book to my coloring book arsenal. Not only do the cats themselves look realistic, but I can also see MY cat doing most of the crazy things portrayed in these coloring book images! I've caught my Toby with her head a bit too close to the fish tank. When I try to do any sort of school or paperwork I get a "helping hand" from my feline friend. She will curl up on my bed any time and anywhere she wants to and will spend hours staring out the open screen door. I love being able to color these cat images to look like my Toby and previous cats I have had.
