First, these are not free eBay products. These are items you most likely paid for and are now going to sell. Free means free, not something I purchased and am no longer using.Second, these items are rather obscure. Most people do not have them in the house. Most neighbors don't have them in the house and if the neighbors do have them, they are not likely to give them away.I am sorry about the one star review, but this book is exactly worth the free price I paid for it during an give-away. If I had purchased it, I would be asking for a refund. There are many bloat books out there by authors looking to make a living on and this is one of those books; a book with a title that doesn't deliver.I will say that it is possible to find these items on Craigslist or Free-cycler but the items listed in this book are very specific.
While it may have reminded me of some things that I knew I could possibly sell on Ebay but forgot about, there's nothing here that you couldn't easily figure out for yourself. This is really aimed at the novice Ebay seller, who is probably too lazy to sit down and do a little Ebay research. Worth the .99 cents I paid for it if you enjoy reading about reselling, but $6.99? Ummm...
As an established seller I was disappointed in this guide. Basically what this book says is .. look around your house and sell unwanted junk that you already have. True there would be no "new" investment needed, but that doesn't mean it was ever free!If you have never sold on eBay before and you want some ideas on where to start with things you already own, then this guide will do great getting you started listing household items you already have in your possession. If you have sold on eBay before, skip this guide there is nothing new to learn here.I do give the author credit for his writing style is easy to read and understand, and the tutorials and examples have merit to someone who may want to try eBay selling for the first time. I also give the book 4 stars for delivering what it says it does, information on what type of items to look into, examples, and points of reference to get newcomers started in an easy to digest format.
I enjoyed this book. It's very well written & contains tons of links and photos. Some of us are just way too busy to really consider what we have laying around the house that might be salable. As a matter of fact just the other day my laptop cord bit the dust so I decided to check to see if a cord from one of my older laptops would fit. No they didn't, but I just stashed them back into their hiding spots. These old laptops are just hanging around my house doing absolutely nothing and to be honest, I would have never thought to sell just the cord, There are tons of ideas in this book & a lot of money hanging around your house right now.
Another information packed book from one of my favorite authors and mentors ! This book helps you open your eyes and see all the money making items just sititng around, waiting to be sent to . Thanks Jordan for all your expertise !
This book is great for beginners as well as people already selling on eBay. Lots of great ideas on what sells. According to stats most people have 47 items worth $3000 laying around the house. Here's the info on what those items are. Thank you
The book is packed with great ideas to get started. After reading Jordan's book, I realized that there's probably $2k or more boxed up in my garage just waiting to be sold; things that would usually go to donate or trash. In the time it takes to box up and donate or throw out, you could easily list on ebay. Someone somewhere is looking for what you are throwing out. Thanks for opening my Jordan.
