Marbles need to be seen to be appreciated and in this book you get a nice sampling of some great work by some of the great pioneers of glass. It also give you a nice insight into the history of the contemporary marble and transistion to the torchworked marble. It would be nice to have a revised current edition of this work the only problem would be the book would probably weigh about 90lbs. with all the terrific talent that has emerged over the past few years.
As a art glass collector and a marble collector, this was a great book to read! Excellent information, and beautiful pictures. A wealth of facts and well written, another work of art book by Mark Block! Looking forwards to more books!
