This is a great book for starting out selling on Etsy. I would recommend reading this first before you start selling. I wish I had as I had to go back and fix a lot of things. I recommend this book.
I really wanted to find a specific book for starting out on Etsy - not 'starting a small business' or 'selling crafts in general.' I have to say, this book covered every question I had and since it was tailored to starting on Etsy, it really covered all the Etsy-specific policies, etc. From naming your store and adding appealing banners, to taxes/legal information (which was the biggest thing I wanted to know), to marketing and increasing visibility of your product, there's a lot of helpful hints in this book and I think it's definitely worth a read if you've considered joining the Etsy community, but don't know enough of the logistics to take the plunge. I got this book from my local library and have found it to be a valuable resource. I recommend it.
I am half way through reading this book and I can already tell that it will be so helpful. I had an Etsy store but was never successful. I already have tons of good ideas to make it better. I like that this book is actually written for people to be successful and not just propaganda to make Etsy more money. The only downside is the cheap paper and flimsy cover, but what can you expect for 11 bucks? I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in selling on Etsy.
