To start off, I've been writing pl/sql for over 10 yrs. Soon many books are filled with fluff and takes a lot of weeding thru to get to the details. This book cuts straight to the chaise and gives u what u need. no BS. Highly recommended this book for beginners or even folks that need a bit of brushing up on the details.
Like the other reviewers indicated, the book is concise and to the point with good examples. I have pretty good t-sql skills, but couldn't quite get some of the Oracle pl/sql differences, which this book filled in very well. However, the code examples provided have to be clipped from the kindle book which introduces problems running the code in TOAD. Also, there's a limit on the # of times you can copy the book. I'll probably spend as much time removing the invalid characters or retyping the examples as I did reading the book.
This book is really basic and mostly for beginners, you can go over it in about 15 minutes, then again for the price it is a great reference guide.
Book is meant for people who already have sql skills. Good coverage of items like cursors and procedures. It's impressive
