Arduino a Comprehensive Guide is a really good intro. It is not really for a beginner since it covers some deep topics but for someone with basic programming skills it is easy to understand. The book is a good teaser to learn more. I'm hooked. Arduino, here I come. Manny from Puerto Rico
I purchased this book after purchasing Dr. Damlaris' corresponding course on udemy.com. That course provided a detailed introduction to the Arduino, and real-world examples that get built upon from lesson to lesson. This book was clearly developed to complement the online course, and it provides a handy reference to the major topics needed by someone new to Arduino development. Even if you have no interest in taking the online course, this is a succinct reference that any Arduino developer can use.Dr. Dalmaris has a well thought out, understandable style, and (from my experience with his online courses) he has a strong desire to help his students and customers learn.
Mr Dalmaris is an awesome teacher and this book is the absolute guide for a beginner in Arduino and electronics. It gives you a little taste of this fascinating Arduino world and shows you where you can see more projects and how you can be a maker. Recommended!
Author is very good at explaining basic Arduino and a few basic programming steps but I felt like the book was half the size it should have been. I would recommend this book to anyone that has no knowledge of the Arduino and programming. The author explains everything in great detail with excellent examples.
This book gives very good starting point with Arduino projects to people who have no experience in electronic devices and programming in C++
It is what it says it is. Most of this material can be found online at the Arduino website. If one buys a starter kit, he should receive amanual which would also include this material and more.
This book goes into very little detail and is nothing more than the most basic introduction. It could be more appropriately entitled, "preface to Arduino for Dummies".
I was thinking about getting an Arduino for the kids and me. This book has helped me make the decision easy. And I found a use for those hours learning C++.
