Loved the way the author explains it. He says that faith begins with God's word and voice. Anytime God speaks the response must be with faith. He goes on to explain that the more we understand His voice the clear picture we will have regarding how we should have faith. He explores scripture upon scripture and applies each appropriately to the Christian walk. He also explains that God ordained many of your giants in life that He may be glorified when you over come them through His strength. Then he suggests that if God ordained your works for His glory, why should you fear at all. Faith can come down to understanding His written word more accurately, he explains. While not every action of faith requires knowledge that it can be blind faith, understanding God's nature through a clear picture painted by understanding His word helps, the author suggests. Over all it was an informative, well written, good read. If you take the suggests to heart in this book it could even change your life. Because faith always has the power to change.
Ok, so here we go! This was a VERY motivating book about Faith in Jesus Christ. Im going to be honest, Adam Houge is actually a Rival of mine when it comes to Christian Non Fiction and Inspirational Kindle books. He and I actually share the same beliefs, ideas, ideals, demographic, genres, and even the same fan base. I notice that his books are ALWAYS bought at the same time mine (Pastor Joey Bauer) get bought. His books and my books are very similar and we both share a love for Jesus Christ. I have an immense amount of respect for Bro. Adam, and hope he might take the time out to check my stuff out sometime, because in all honesty we are more like tag team preachers than we are rivals. This book, and a lot of his others that I have on my Kindle device are amazing, profound, and inspiring. Great Job Adam! Keep up with the 5 Star books! You deserve all the success in the world!!!

I was unable to attend our church service today because of the weather, I could've watch a service on TV or sat down with a good book like this one. :) I am glad I chose this book!
I have read quite a few Adam Houge books.....they are always filled with the beautiful truth if God's love for us. Adam is definitely a man after Gods heart.Slaying Your Giants if filled with tons of "manna".....you might even leave wanting more as I have. I am going to go back and read it again. So much food for thought!I would love it if I could buy this book so I could give it to friends, but I only see it on Kindle.I highly recommend this book, it's a diamond in the rough! Enjoy!
Slaying your giants is easier than you think. Please read this book and find out how. You actually do nothing. How easy is that? Adam has a true gift of getting back to the basics. God has blessed t Adam o be a blessing to us. You will want to read this book over again as the need arises and you need your giants splayed. God bless you in your time of need. Praise the Lord! This book really opened my eyes during a tough time in my life. I was having issues with my faith and blaming God for many of the problems in my life. I am going to know take the perspective Adam presents and glorifying God in this because I am going grow in God because of it. If you want a great book read this one because it will inspire you to live differently. I am diffently going to be read more by this author.
It was entertaining with the story. Then the book went into the details of faith, and it gave me what I needed.
I often choose to overlook our work around my giants rather than acknowledge them as being the tools God is using to draw me closer to Him...to call upon Christ, to call upon God, my heavenly Father to be my Father and to lead me in the way He has chosen. I was also reminded that beyond reading the Holy Bible, and speaking to God in prayer, we are to listen, listen to God.
