50 State Quarters Collector's Folder: 1999-2008 Denver & Philadelphia Mints

It's a coin collector's dream folder, with a space for every state's newly designedquarters--arranged according to the year each was minted--along with dozens of fascinating facts. When Congress passed the "50 States Commemorative Coin Program Act" in 1997, which led to the creation of quarters honoring every state in the union, its members especially hoped that young people and their families would collect these memorable tokens. This handy folder will help youngsters realize that goal and hold onto these special keepsakes, which are being released over ten years in the order in which the states ratified the Constitution. In addition to the slots for the quarters, kids will find a description of the Commemorative Coin Program; a history of the United States Quarter Dollar; a list of state capitals, nicknames, mottoes, and more; details on how the 50 designs were chosen; and an account of how coins are manufactured by the U.S. Mint and distributed by the Federal Reserve Bank.

I was excited to get this for my children to have both mints of quarters. Unfortunately, none of the quarters stay in. The sizing of the holes is so bad, you can easily lose quarters (especially if you have younger children who are trying to read the book). The book portion is extremely scare in facts and details. I would recommend looking elsewhere (as I am doing) to purchase a long term keepsake.

It is a nice looking book. I like that the P's and D's are together- However, the coins fall out; I only want to put them in once. Also, the coins can only be viewed on one side.

This folder looks great. Too bad it does not hold the quarters. One would buy a folder like this to help save the commemorative coins. Just don't ever open it. The quarters simply fall out.

I was disappointed and had to send it back as it wasn't what I wanted. I didn't realize that it was for quarters from both places they mint the state quarters and I just wanted a folder for one quarter for each state and I wasn't concerned that I had one from each place. I didn't realize they printed them in two places anyway. Richard Risener

Description states "a list of state capitals, nicknames, mottoes..." which is untrue, those aren't there at all. There's an info. page inside each cover which contains some of the other mentioned info. but they overlap the coins that go there, terrible design. One star since there's no zero star rating.

The booklet is sturdy, colorful, and keeps my quarters organized. It has spaces for both the Denver and Philadelphia mints, which I didn't really need, but maybe some day I'll decide to save both. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition.

This product is well designed and full of educational information. The quality of the folder is very good. We love it.50 State Quarters Collector's Folder: 1999-2008 Denver & Philadelphia Mints

I thought there would be 50 spaces for the state quarters but there are 100. I was not aware that each quarter is made in two locations. Now I have to start looking for 50 more quarters!
