I've used similar tubes in the past, but these tubes are slightly too small in diameter, which makes loading and unloading coins a slow, aggravating experience. The tight fit creates a vacuum effect that makes it especially difficult to remove the last coin or 2 which can be a problem if you're pressed for time. Expect a lot of cracks to develop in these tubes.

Just ordered my third box of these quarter rolls. The first one was perfect in that every one of the rolls allowed for a full roll of quarters. The second box had several that were defective near the bottom and did not allow for a coin to go completely flat. Like others have stated, the price of these tubes does outweigh the couple that were defective. The defective ones are still usable except not to full capacity. Since they are only used for pre-1964 and Bicentennial quarters, I am only adding quarters a couple at a time. I will continue to buy these because they do work okay.

The item is a box of clear plastic tubes with screw on lids. The tubes are intended to fit a roll of 50 coins. They do their job quite well!Cons: The tubes will break if you hit them with a hammer. DON'T DO IT!

I'm a tournament foosball player and have to carry quarters around with me. These things have been beat up in bars several times and hold up quite well. The screw-on top is easy to remove but doesn't fall off in your pocket.

These venerable Whitman coin holders can be had at a very economical price (about the cheapest out there) and will do the job. Not exactly ruggedly designed to be beat around and crushed . . . but they fit the coin well, the top screws on securely, and the clear see through plastic allows a view of what is inside. One of my favorites for general organizing and storage. This "Quarter Size" accommodates all U.S. Quarter Dollars from the 1830's up through the latest National Park Quarters.

I'm getting quarters stuck at the bottom of the tube for 2 of the 5 I received. Actually, that's far better than their nickel version, where every one is defective, resulting in a stuck coin. Avoid this company.

After using about everything else to hold quarters in my vehicle console, including old prescription bottles, I finally bought some of these. I should have done it a long time ago, because these are great. They are precise in size and very well made. If I need more, I would order some more of these.

Given that I used to be heavily into coin collecting, you'd think it wouldn't have taken me so long to make use of these. You see, I live in San Francisco where parking meters *start* at $2.00/hour and go up from there. That's a lot of quarters. So, whenever we drive somewhere in the City, we bring along a roll of quarters just to feed the meters. Once opened, however, a partial roll of quarters can become a pocketful of loose change very easily. To avoid that problem, I picked up a set of these coin tubes. We keep them by the door, loaded with quarters, just for parking. No muss, no fuss. If you have to deal with quarters -- for parking meters, bridge tolls, arcade games, etc. -- I highly recommend getting a set of these to make your life easier. Best of all, they're eminently affordable.(Note: they're also available for dimes and nickels if parking meters in your city aren't quite so ravenous.)
