The National Park Quarters Coin Act of 2008 requires quarters, beginning in 2010, to have designs on the reverse depicting one national site in each state, the District of Columbia, and the five territories of the United States. These are super nice, heavy duty, large folios perfect for collecting the national landmark quarters that began being minted in 2010. I got one for each kid to foster/stave off competition.Comes with grommets for hanging on the wall -- the interior is a map.Exceptionally good value -- low cost, high quality.
I was looking for a bigger fold out map like the state quarters collection so I can display it in my classroom. This is really great because it is heavy board and will last for the duration of the collection. It is also large enough that the kids can see it easily.
This is a really great product and is very well-constructed. Whenever someone opens it up for the first time, they are absolutely amazed. The quarters fit tightly into the folder so there's no chance of them falling out. You can hang it using the built-in holes in the top corners or put it on a shelf. Highly recommended!
I read previous reviews and was almost scared to order. It does require you to press quarters into the slots but they will not fall out. Just a correction to the previous ratings. I purchased 4 for my children and all 4 were perfect. Do not hesitate purchasing this item.
I bought 15 of the national park books to collect the coins for my Grandkids. The book is very informative and has two eyelets to hang it on the wall. You have to dig the temporary plugs out of each state and use some pressure to get the quarters in but this is not difficult to do. My Grandkids are very happy with them
The layout of coin holes and states is very good, I like it. This is a nice pair to our State Quarter folder from the same publisher. Once you insert the coin into its hole you will struggle to get it back out without damaging the map, so make sure you do it right. This folder is large so be aware of that when buying. I chose this over the smaller ones based on the better reviews and I am glad I did. It is certainly not flimsy yet not too heavy, it will keep the coins safe.
Bought this item after my toddler found an old state quarter book, and started to show interest in the collection. He loves the vibrant colors and the entirety of the map. The pieces inside the slots are easy to remove and remove cleanly with no excess pieces. The only issue is that some of the dates are either wrong, or the mints released them sooner than planned (Guam, etc.)THe size is perfect for little fingers and is easy to haul around.
I regret the purchase of this album. It is very hard to put the quarters in the slots. I would prefer an album where I have the option of removing the quarters. Once the quarters are in the slots you will not want to remove.
