I was trying to find out more information about Majolica. This book was a good start. The pictures are great and offers a lot of information. I really enjoyed this book.
If you want to identify majolica pieces, educate yourself on the background, or just look at the variety of beautiful pieces produced, you will enjoy this book. I refer to it often.
My mom was an antique dealer and she always went to her Warman's for information. This Majolica book has clear pictures and descriptions. The only drawback, with it being an older printing, is that the prices are not as valid and more research would be necessary.
The book was delivered in a very timely manner and in very good condition despite it being a used book.The pictures are beautiful and I did find a picture of the majolica jardiniere I had just bought and I was very excited about that.But since this book was published in 2005, I'd like to know whether the prices estimated in the book have gone up or down. It needs an update.
the pricing method,left alot to be desired the lumped together items priced as one lot,seemed lazy. To go to the trouble of putting the very professionel looking pictures and not goimg the extra time it would take seemed lazy. I understand the book is not up to date,but it could have a ballpark figure to each item.
