Even though the Taurus Judge is listed on the cover, it is NOT included in the book. So, if that is the reason you are buying, don't.Otherwise, a pretty good book, with good illustrations and re-assembly advice.

Bought this book to get my total up for free shipping so wasn't expecting a whole lot but still managed to get what I expected. The book is a bit dated with some popular models missing altogether and others lumped together. Disassembly instructions are good if you know what you're doing otherwise a bit vague. The Colt SAA, for example, has a decent write-up but the pictures don't match the instructions. Reassembly says do it all in reverse, and while this is true to a point, there is a lot missing in that statement.Neat book to have on your bench but not the one for doing the actual learning.

Every gunsmith worth his/her salt has the entire collection of these books in their reference library. You must remember that their are hundreds of models and variations of guns and more are being made everyday. The functioning is shared by most, but the intricacies of disassembly and reassembly are impossible to commit to memory, unless you limit yourself to working on a couple of dozen. Believe me I know! I AM a gunsmith and have worked on hundreds of different models and these books are invaluable.

I never cease to be impressed with Mr. Woods' work, and this book is no exception. As always, his directions are clear, concise and to the point. Not to oversell it, but he's kind of the Carl Sagan of gunsmithing: he takes something that should be ridiculously complicated and makes it understandable by breaking it down into bite-size chunks. He also makes a point of including little editorial tips to keep you on the right track during the complicated/sensitive bits.I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you're a hobbyist, this book can save you money by allowing you to do much more work yourself. If you're in the business, he will flat-out make you money. If a customer brings in a gun I'm not familiar with, I can always take a quick minute to review one of his guides; being able to handle even esoteric weapons with confidence gives the customer peace of mind and respect for your abilities.

I own a stack or two of old revolvers from originals made in 1860 to replicas and several modern ones. I also like to tinker around and clean them up. Since there's no Owner's Manual's around for the old stuff or replicas that provide any information on the "How" of it, I bought this book.A great source of information, with some extra notes or tips. Well worth the money.

This book has most every revolver made. It has step by step instructions, but everything is in black and white. I got the Kindle edition, which saves space; comes in handy, not having to haul around several gunsmithing books.

I ordered this book to determine the problem with a revolver and was able to identify the problem, order the parts and repair it myself rather than have to take it to a gunsmith...saved much more than the cost of the book...a win-win !
