I got this cookbook first, because I loved the cover, and second, because I absolutely adore Italian cuisine. In spite of a few simple spelling errors that a good editor should have caught, this cookbook of authentic, hearty recipes that features a famous Bolognese sauce, is one that I will use over and over again with pleasure. Everything is easy to understand, it's all easy to come by on a quick stop at the grocer, and you get to hear how Danny Bolognese became the renowned chef he is today in his own words..I felt like I was sitting at his kitchen counter, sipping a nice red wine, listening to Frank Sinatra playing in the background, while reading his introduction to the cookbook. Love it!!

Wow, another great book from my favorite Italian Cookbook author Daniel Bellino Z, aka Danny Bolognese, I just Love it! As with all of Daniel's cookbooks, this one is filled with great Italian recipes with easy to follow instructions for dishes that come out really wonderful. I love the authors insights on the food, the dishes, and the Italian-American Culture on a whole. My favorite recipes are, of course the Ragu Bolognese, Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Spaghetti Puttanesca. The dishes I've made so far came out really well and I can't wait to try more, like Minestrone Genovese, Pesto Sauce, and the Ricotta Cheesecake. After reading this book I would highly recommend it to anyone, and I especially think its a great book for those taking there first steps into the wonderful world of Italian Cooking. Daniel's Secret Ragu Bolognese Recipe is worth the price of admission alone, and the other recipes are a added bonus. I love it.

Two secret recipes are excellent, but different, quite a treat, easy to make.I use this book often. There is quite a bit of interesting history in the book as well.

It is Italian Cooking at its best !
