This book is a great visual guide for children to get to know the Gospel story, esepcially the events of Holy Week. My children took this book with them when we went to church for services during Holy Week and because the text is from the Bible, they have now even memorized much of the scriptural account because we've read it over and over. Gennady Spirin is also a very talented and captivating illustrator. We have several other books illustrated by him.
This is the second book by Gennady Spirin that I have purchased for my child. I love it not only for the beautiful artwork, but also for the King James text that is used.
Spirin's illustrations are wonderful, as always. All text is taken directly from the Gospels. A great addition to church children's library.
