We love our Bubble Guppies books and movies and this is no exception! Year round my son loves this book and it's super easy to read so he's able to help! (I do kinda wish it said Merry Christmas though!)
I do the 25 days of Christmas books in December. I wrap each book ahead of time and my daughter opens one each day to read. We have done it the last 2 years. The first year I used a lot of older second hand Christmas books. Now each year I add a couple newer ones that are themes she currently likes. This was a great addition to our collection!
My son loves it, so for that reason, I'll give the book 5 stars. However, if you kid prefers the books with a lot of flaps on each page, this isn't it. There are maybe 10 throughout the whole book--but, that even seems high. But, it's Bubble Guppies & as long as my son is happy with it, I'm happy :)
My two year old niece LOVES this book. She loves lifting the flaps and discovering all the hidden items. She wants me to read it over and over again. It's not a board book though, so I have to make sure she's careful with her lifting because she WILL rip the flaps.
Great for all the kids who love the show, my son is obsessed with this show, I was happy to find a book so he can experience it in another medium, and of course it encourages reading so it's a win win for me
i'm not sure what the fuss is all about for this book. yes the story is cute and it stars the infamous bubble guppies who we love but i am not impressed by this book at all. i was pretty disappointed when i first saw it in the box and i realize now that i did not focus on the description of it as a "pictureback" but for the price i was expecting something a little more substantial. i have bought coloring books at the dollar store that seem more of a value than this "book" and we have board books with 3 - 4 flaps on EACH page (and not just one flap on every other page like this book has) that were in this price range. my 18 month daughter likes it but only because it is the bubble guppies - the very few flaps in this book and short story make it a book that she will not be sitting with for as long as she does with all of her other flaps and non-flap books.
The songs they play is stuck in my head from a Bubble Guppies toy I bought for Christmas. My kids love Bubble Guppies so much that my son actually reads this book all the time. Definitely a sound investment.
Purchased as a St. Nick day gift for my 1 1/2 yr old daughter. She loves flipping up the flaps and following along with the story. It mirrors the Bubble Guppies episode of the same name.
